Mårten Lange Chicxulub
The Chicxulub crater was formed when an asteroid or comet collided with the Earth 66 million years ago. The impact and the climate change that followed led to the extinction of three-quarters of the species on earth, among them the dinosaurs. The center of the crater is located near the small village of Chicxulub, on the Yucatán peninsula.
